With a 300-year heritage, RSA is a multinational commercial insurer operating across Europe. We have significant businesses in the UK and Ireland while RSA Luxembourg serves brokers and customers in Belgium, France, Spain and the Netherlands.

RSA employs over 4,500 people and, in 2021, became a wholly owned subsidiary of Canadian insurer Intact Financial Corporation (TSX: IFC). Intact is the largest general insurer in Canada, and a leading provider of global specialty insurance.

Our UK DE&I Strategy

At RSA, we are committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment and these goals reflect our dedication to creating a workplace where everyone can thrive. By 2026, we aim to achieve the following:

  • Representation: We aim for a diverse workforce that reflects society, with 80% of employees sharing their diversity data and equal gender representation in management.
  • Inclusive Culture: We want over 80% of employees to feel a sense of belonging and to be recognized as leaders in DE&I by our charter partners.
  • Equity: Our goal is to reduce gender-specific pay gaps to less than 17% and ensure all policies are fair and impartial.
  • Competence: We will communicate DE&I plans to all employees, with annual reviews, and introduce DE&I to all new joiners.
  • Employee Experience: We aim to provide inclusive experiences throughout the employee journey and track DE&I performance.

Our key policies

At RSA, we are committed to prioritising the needs of our female employees. This can be demonstrated through the key policies outlined below.
  • Equal Parental Leave Policy: We are advancing our family-friendly commitment with our equal parental leave policy with all employees being entitled to 52 weeks of parental leave, with 26 weeks fully paid. RSA is is one of only a few companies in the UK to offer this.
  • Carer’s Policy: On top of the commitment to parents above, we also offer an additional 5 days per annum of annual leave for colleagues with significant caring responsibilities and 5 more days per annum for those with caring responsibilities for disabled dependants.
  • Domestic Abuse Policy: Standing by our employees, we support those who may be victims of domestic abuse.

Flexible / Hybrid working

At RSA, we spend 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.
